I heard them first, then with some patience closed in and watched him singing for about five minutes in a nearby tree.
The sound of the Wood Thrush's song echoing through the woods is flat out my favorite bird sound. Not only is it nice to listen to, but it's so evocative of walking through the woods, calmly enjoying nature.
