Location Blendon Woods metro park, Columbus, OH
This was another one of those birds that I was starting to lose hope with. Blendon Woods saved the day again.
There was a male and female pair, and they appeared very nondescript at first. I started to suspect and hope, and the black rump on the male was the real clincher.
While this species certainly doesn't have any flashy colors, it still is beautiful in its own way with it array of warm colors.
