Location Spur Cross Ranch, Phoenix, AZ
I saw this one flying only; it was a good look, but it was rather fleeting. I thought it was a Stellar's Jay while in the field, but later as I was flipping through my field guide, I saw that this had the white wing patches that I had witnessed while the jay did not. The color and size fit better too. What I thought was slight backlighting was really just black.
