This elusive sparrow was very secretive, as described in any field guide. This other lady and I were doubtful, while this other guy was quite confident. The point of contention was the central spot, which some books don't show. He had Sibley's on his smart phone, and it had a small central spot.
There are plenty of pictures online, and a central spot is not always present or obvious.
