My wife and I got a free trip to California by attending one of those awful high-pressure sales presentations. So we visited the beach one morning and I got to see some new birds. It was chilly and cloudy, so we just waded a bit and walked in the sand.
There were several of these gulls back from the shore a bit perched on some rocks.
