The most last-minute ID that I can recall. I was literally at the car, brushing the sand from my feet so I could put my shoes on and go because it was getting dark.
I heard some unfamiliar sounds from a nearby palm tree. They were gregarious, flying back and forth to the lagoon trees. I despaired identifying them because it was just so dark and they were hidden in the fronds. I finally saw the key field marks on one of them. Sound helped too.
