Location Green Lawn cemetery (iron bridge), Columbus, OH
I went there on a tip from the rare bird alert (probably the Tom Thomson one I used to follow) for a Black-Billed Cuckoo, so I stopped by before work on a bright, sunny morning. Not two minutes went by before I saw this one instead. He was fairly high up in the trees to the right. I had a hard time believing my luck was so good, so for a moment I convinced myself that it was a mockingbird. Then he flew to a nearer tree and I got a perfect look at the yellow bill.
