130. Rufous Hummingbird

Location     Blendon Woods, Columbus, OH

I believe I read in the newspaper about this unusual winter visitor. So on a Saturday, Logan and I went over to Blendon Woods to see if she would appear.

We were fortunate indeed as she showed up for a few seconds at the nectar feeder they had out at the nature center. She flew away and came back again for about a minute.

I had never been to this location before because it was on the other side of the city. It wouldn't eventually become my go-to place over the winter for ducks.
