Location Hoover reservoir nature trail, Delaware county, OH
I came to this site to try to get Prothonotary Warbler because I read an article on a guy who put milk cartons out for them to nest in. I didn't get very good directions; I was kind of just hoping that this was the right spot. It wasn't.
But I walked the trail anyway. I was first alerted by a "ticky" call behind me. I was able to see a male for just a brief moment. Later, I heard more ticky-tuck calls and backtracked on the trail to investigate. I got a good look at a female starting to eat a large bug, probably a wasp or bee.
