Welcome to my blog about birding. I hope you find enjoyment and intrigue in reading about my birding adventures.

I currently have my life list stored in a spreadsheet, with the descriptions of the sighting (date, place, circumstances, etc.) written by hand in this book:

National Geographic Birder's Journal

There are some problems using this method. 1) I occasionally have to make adjustments to my list. Yes, sometimes I realize that I misidentified the bird in question. That means I have to erase and renumber everything by hand. 2) The book is in black and white. I know it's not meant to be a field guide, but it's just not that attractive. 3) The taxonomic order is hopelessly outdated and doesn't line up with current field guides. 4) Depending on what page a bird happens to be listed on, there often isn't much room to write. I want to be able to record enough detail in the description to help me remember the moment.

Thank you for stopping by.
